Endless Struggle

“Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted but getting what you have, which once you have got it you may be smart enough to see is what you would have wanted had you known.”
-Garrison Keillor

“People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can’t find them, make them.”
-George Bernard Shaw

I’ve come to the realization that life truly is an endless struggle, and that maybe if I just expect that - MAYBE… I will be able to just deal. There’s honestly an endless string of struggles dragged out in front of us every day. I’m just now learning it. In a way, it’s the struggles that make life worth while. It’s the little triumphs over the day to day battles that accumulate and make up the whole of who we are.

“Be who you are and be that well.”
-Saint Francis de Sales

“The greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it.”
-William James
