dare. to. dream.

What is this ugly trait in human nature that seeks to shoot down the dreams and aspirations of others when the scope of one’s dreams reach beyond the bounds of what is considered ‘ordinary?’ Worse yet, it is often one’s own family and closest friends and acquaintances who are the first to roll their eyes at the dreamer’s dreams. Is it their own fear of dreaming dreams that inspires the mockery of those inclined to throw water on your parade, because they themselves lack the courage or vision to march in their OWN parade? May I never be in that company of discouraging naysayers!

A great Man once said, with God, ALL things are possible…ALL things. It has also been said that that same God is able to do immeasurably MORE than ALL we ask or can even imagine. That sounds pretty limitless to me! I’m tired of despair and hopelessness. Maybe I won’t lay my hand upon that distant star, but I’ll get a lot closer to it than those who won’t even dare to reach for it, and I’ll enjoy the process a lot more.

Dare to dream the biggest dreams your soul can muster. All great accomplishments began as a dream in someone’s heart, with a vision that others mocked and pooh-poohed. Today, those same mockers are enjoying the long-reaching effects and benefits of the dreamers who pushed beyond the negativity that prevailed. Personally, I just find life to be far more interesting along the trail of the pioneer.
